Senior Survey Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Surveyor or Survey Manager to lead the expansion of an existing business, in to a new field of Land and Measured Building Surveys in Ireland.

From an existing office base in Northern Ireland you will have the chance to build and grow a business unit from the ground up, combining hands-on surveying with leadership and business development.

This Chartered RICS surveying practice specialises in the extractive industry and has its own land surveying function, utilising traditional total station, GNSS and drone ortho/lidar surveying. The business has identified potential for growth into land and measured building surveys, offering geospatial services including topographical, utilities, and measured building work. With work for public sector clients and private firms like major contractors and are focused on securing clients in this new area as part of their growth plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and grow the survey business, combining hands-on work with business development and team leadership. You will have real ownership, flexible working, and a strong package including bonus and company vehicle with unlimited potential.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years’ experience in land and measured building surveys, strong project and tendering skills, and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. A proactive attitude, good communication, and experience in the Irish markets are essential. Full RICS and or ICES membership is preferred but not essential.

The Role:

• Chartered Surveying Business, developing from core specialism into a dedicated business specialising in land and measured building surveys
• Provide geospatial services including topographical, utilities, and measured building work
• Develop business with public sector clients (councils) and private firms like major contractors.
• Develop / train existing staff and recruit as necessary to deliver growth and premium service levels.
• Focused on growth of new business and securing larger construction based clients.

The Person:

• 5-10 years’ experience in Land and Measured Building Surveying with strong technical skills
• Proven business development and leadership ability, with a can-do attitude
• Experience tendering for public sector work and RICS / ICES membership preferred.
• Flexible to work between site, office, and home as needed
