Proposed Lateral Northerly Extension at Corkey Quarry

Proposal: The phased winning and working of mineral (basalt) comprising of a lateral northerly extension to the existing quarry to a maximum depth of 182mAOD, the construction of internal haul roads, the erection of earthen screening bunds, the storage of overburden and the restoration of the Site to biodiversity afteruses and all ancillary development associated with the same.

Location: Lands at, and directly to the north of the existing quarry void at Corkey Quarry, 160 Corkey Road, Ballymena BT44 9JQ

Those who attend the public drop-in event at Loughgiel Community Centre will be invited to provide comments and ask questions regarding the project.

Please note that all comments made to the prospective applicant and their agents are not representations to the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.  If the prospective applicant submits an application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Council, or as the case may be the Department, at a stage within the planning process.
