Public Consultation Crocknawarke (Loughdoo Aggregates) Proposed Extension

Loughdoo Aggregates (10 Loughdoo Road) have submitted a proposal of application notice (PAN) to Mid Ulster District Council.

The PAN advises the Council that the Company intend to submit a planning application for a northerly extension to the existing quarry and rationalisation of existing settlement ponds at the company's site at Crocknawarke Quarry, 10 Loughdoo Road, Cookstown.The proposal is to extend development in approximately 3 hectares of land in a northerly direction of the existing sand and gravel quarry and rationalisation of exisiting settlement ponds with re-engineered profile of the ponds to allow DAERA, and others, to conduct remedial works on adjoining lands, with full restoration to agricultural and nature conservation habitats.

Pursuant to Section 27 of the Planning Act (NI) 2011 (and amended legislation provided due to the ongoing COVID 19 restrictions), the prospective applicant (Loughdoo Aggregates) are conducting an online community consultation. The Applicant welcomes all visitors to the consultation and would request that comments and observations are provided to their planning consultants, Quarryplan Limited.
